Student Teacher Life : Week 6
All of us have a teacher who has made an insightful variation in our lives—someone who changed our perspective and views of life, someone who made us think more genuinely, the one who set our feet on the right path. Admit it or not, we do have a teacher who does not only teach but inspires! My first year cooperating teacher in English, Ms. Jennifer Yu lives in Surigao but I forgot which specific place she lives. She also taught popular schools in Manila that is why I can say that she is a good and excellent teacher so far that I ever met! She was just really into teaching and livening up the class. One vivid memory I have was when she taught me the things which are very important for a teacher. She opened my mind to the possibilities that may occur outside (Public School). She taught me some strategies that I should do whenever I face students that are hard to handle. “ You should teach a student to respect you not just because you are teacher, you will gain respect if you respect yourself and showing also respect to them. “, she added. I am also thankful for being with her because I have learned so many things! I also learned to be strict..AS IN MALDITA JUD DAW to students so that the students will not abuse you in many ways. The greatest thing I learned from her though was knowing that I could do it; that it is not yet the end; that I could have a loud voice; and that there is always a room for improvement. Thanks to her! I will never forget her and Xavier University High School.
